Terms of Service

One payment. One analysis.

FinePrintCheck provides a one-time automated informational analysis of U.S. health insurance policy documents. It is not a subscription, insurance product, insurance brokerage service, or professional advisory relationship.

Effective date: September 18, 2026

1. U.S.-only service

FinePrintCheck is designed, offered, and marketed exclusively for the United States market and exclusively for the analysis of United States health insurance policy documents.

The Service is not intended for Swedish, European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other non-U.S. insurance policies.

You may use the Service only to analyze an eligible U.S. health insurance policy or related eligible U.S. plan document.

The availability of this website over the internet outside the United States does not constitute intentional marketing of the Service to consumers in those jurisdictions.

2. Nature of the Service

Each successful purchase provides one non-transferable entitlement to submit one eligible U.S. health insurance policy PDF for one automated analysis.

The Service is designed to identify and explain provisions that may include exclusions, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, out-of-pocket limits, benefit limitations, prior-authorization requirements, network restrictions, potentially unfavorable provisions, unclear language, and questions that the user may wish to raise with an insurer.

FinePrintCheck is not an insurance company, insurance carrier, insurance broker, insurance agent, claims administrator, healthcare provider, law firm, financial adviser, or representative of any insurer.

FinePrintCheck does not sell, issue, recommend, broker, underwrite, administer, or modify insurance policies.

The Service does not determine whether a claim will be paid, whether treatment is medically necessary, whether coverage exists in a particular situation, or how an insurer, healthcare provider, regulator, court, arbitrator, or other third party will interpret or apply a policy.

3. Automated analysis and artificial intelligence

The Service uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to analyze policy documents.

Automated analysis may contain errors, omissions, incomplete interpretations, or inaccurate conclusions.

Generated reports are provided solely for general informational purposes and are not legal, medical, financial, insurance, claims-handling, tax, or other professional advice.

You should independently review the original policy and verify material information directly with the insurance carrier or an appropriately qualified professional before making healthcare, financial, insurance, legal, or other significant decisions.

The original insurance policy, plan documents, endorsements, amendments, insurer determinations, applicable contracts, and applicable law control over anything stated in a FinePrintCheck report.

4. Eligibility and user responsibilities

By using the Service, you represent that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into the transaction;
  • you are authorized to submit the policy document;
  • the document is a U.S. health insurance policy or related eligible U.S. plan document;
  • your use of the Service is lawful in the jurisdiction from which you access it; and
  • you will not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that submission of a document does not violate contractual restrictions, confidentiality obligations, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or the rights of another person.

5. Payment

The price displayed immediately before checkout is the price for one analysis of one eligible policy document.

Payment is processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout.

A successful payment creates one entitlement to one analysis. The Service does not create a subscription, recurring payment, membership, or automatic renewal.

An entitlement has no cash value and may not be transferred, resold, shared, or used to analyze multiple policy documents.

6. When the Service is considered delivered

The purchased Service is considered successfully performed and delivered when the submitted policy has been processed, the automated analysis has successfully completed, and the generated report has been made available to the user for download.

The user is responsible for downloading and retaining the report. FinePrintCheck does not guarantee that a generated report can be recovered after the analysis session has ended.

7. Final sale and refund policy

Because every analysis is generated specifically for the policy document submitted by the user, a successfully completed analysis is a final sale.

Once the Service has been successfully performed and the generated report has been made available for download, the purchase is non-refundable except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.

A refund will not be provided solely because the user:

  • disagrees with the analysis or any conclusion contained in the report;
  • is dissatisfied with the wording, level of detail, presentation, format, or perceived usefulness of the report;
  • expected a different interpretation or result;
  • expected the report to confirm a particular coverage position;
  • changes their mind after the analysis has been completed;
  • no longer needs the analysis; or
  • fails to download or retain the report after it has been made available.

A user's subjective satisfaction with the analysis is not a condition of completion of the Service.

If an analysis cannot be completed because of a technical failure, FinePrintCheck may provide one or more retry attempts without an additional charge. A retry forms part of the original purchase and does not constitute a new purchase.

If FinePrintCheck is unable to provide the purchased analysis after the available technical recovery attempts have been exhausted, the user may contact FinePrintCheck to request review of the transaction and, where appropriate, a refund.

Duplicate charges, demonstrable billing errors, and unauthorized transactions will be reviewed and handled as appropriate under applicable law and applicable payment-network requirements.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, dispute, chargeback, statutory remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or waived.

8. Uploaded documents

You may submit only documents that you own or are legally authorized to submit for processing.

Do not submit documents unrelated to the Service or documents that you are not authorized to process.

FinePrintCheck may reject files that do not satisfy technical, security, size, format, or eligibility requirements.

9. Privacy and document handling

FinePrintCheck's handling of personal information and submitted documents is further described in the Privacy Policy.

Selecting a PDF does not by itself upload the document to FinePrintCheck application storage.

After payment has been confirmed and the user starts the analysis, the policy document is transmitted to the analysis infrastructure solely for the purpose of performing the requested analysis.

FinePrintCheck does not retain a copy of the uploaded policy or generated report in its application storage as part of the normal Service workflow.

Temporary processing necessary to perform the requested analysis may occur through third-party infrastructure and service providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. No sale of policy data or automatic marketing enrollment

FinePrintCheck charges users directly for the analysis and does not fund the Service by selling the contents of submitted insurance policies or generated reports.

Purchasing or using the Service does not automatically enroll the user in a FinePrintCheck marketing newsletter.

FinePrintCheck does not sell or rent customer email addresses or contact lists for third-party marketing.

11. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • bypass or attempt to bypass payment verification, entitlement controls, authentication, rate limits, file-size limits, retry limits, or other security mechanisms;
  • use one purchased entitlement to obtain more analyses than were purchased;
  • access or attempt to access another user's transaction or analysis;
  • probe, scan, attack, disrupt, interfere with, or obtain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • upload malicious files, executable code, malware, or content intended to compromise the Service;
  • use automated mechanisms to abuse or overload the Service;
  • reverse engineer the Service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or
  • use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or unauthorized purposes.

12. No guarantee of accuracy or outcome

FinePrintCheck does not guarantee that an analysis will identify every relevant provision, exclusion, limitation, inconsistency, ambiguity, or potential coverage issue contained in a policy.

FinePrintCheck does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, reliability, or suitability of a generated report for any particular purpose.

FinePrintCheck does not guarantee insurance coverage, reimbursement, claim approval, appeal outcomes, prior authorization, treatment authorization, benefit eligibility, network status, cost estimates, insurer interpretation, or any medical, insurance, financial, legal, or other outcome.

13. Decisions remain the user's responsibility

You remain responsible for decisions made after receiving a FinePrintCheck report.

You should not make a significant healthcare, insurance, financial, or legal decision solely on the basis of an automated report.

14. Service availability

FinePrintCheck may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, technical reasons, service-provider availability, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

FinePrintCheck does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

15. Intellectual property

The FinePrintCheck website, software, branding, design, interfaces, documentation, technology, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, a user may use a report generated from their submitted policy for their own lawful purposes.

16. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and generated reports are provided "as is" and "as available."

FinePrintCheck makes no warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, regarding the Service or generated reports.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FinePrintCheck disclaims implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and reliability.

Nothing in this section excludes any warranty, statutory protection, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FinePrintCheck and its operator, service providers, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, savings, data, opportunities, insurance coverage, insurance benefits, claims, reimbursements, or other economic losses arising from or relating to use of or reliance on the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FinePrintCheck's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a particular purchase or use of the Service will not exceed the amount actually paid for the purchase giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

18. Third-party services

FinePrintCheck relies on third-party providers for functions that may include payment processing, hosting, cloud infrastructure, security, and artificial-intelligence processing.

FinePrintCheck is not responsible for independent third-party services or events outside its reasonable control, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Payment disputes and chargebacks

Before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback relating to a technical failure, billing error, duplicate charge, or failure to receive the purchased Service, users are encouraged to contact FinePrintCheck so the issue can be investigated.

Nothing in this section prevents a user from exercising any payment-dispute or chargeback right available under applicable law or applicable card-network rules.

20. Changes to these Terms

FinePrintCheck may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be published on this page together with its effective date.

Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the maximum extent permitted by law.

22. Entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the refund terms disclosed before checkout, and any additional terms expressly presented in connection with a purchase constitute the agreement governing use and purchase of the Service.

23. Governing law

These Terms and the contractual relationship with FinePrintCheck are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except to the extent that mandatory law applicable to a particular transaction provides otherwise.

FinePrintCheck is established in Sweden but directs the Service exclusively to the United States market.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a user of any mandatory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived under the law applicable to that user or transaction.

24. U.S. users and applicable law

The Service is intended exclusively for users in the United States and U.S. health insurance policies.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service is permitted under the laws applicable to them.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights that applicable U.S. federal or state law does not permit a consumer to waive.

Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with mandatory applicable law, the mandatory law controls only to the extent of the conflict.

25. No waiver

Failure by FinePrintCheck to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
