Refund Policy
Clear rules for a one-time service.
Each FinePrintCheck purchase covers one automated analysis of one eligible U.S. health insurance policy. This policy explains when a purchase is final and how technical failures, duplicate charges, billing errors, and other refund requests are handled.
Effective date: September 18, 2026
1. One-time purchase
FinePrintCheck is a one-time service. Each successful payment provides one entitlement to analyze one eligible U.S. health insurance policy document.
There is no subscription, automatic renewal, recurring charge, or membership associated with the purchase.
2. When the Service is considered delivered
The purchased Service is considered successfully performed and delivered when:
- the submitted policy has been processed;
- the automated analysis has successfully completed; and
- the generated report has been made available to the user for download.
The user is responsible for downloading and retaining the generated report.
3. Completed analyses are final
Because each analysis is generated specifically for the policy document submitted by the user, a successfully completed analysis is a final sale.
Once the analysis has successfully completed and the generated report has been made available for download, the purchase is non-refundable except where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.
A user's subjective satisfaction with the report is not a condition of successful delivery of the Service.
4. Dissatisfaction with a completed report
A refund will not be provided solely because the user:
- disagrees with the analysis or any conclusion in the report;
- is dissatisfied with the wording, presentation, format, level of detail, or perceived usefulness of the report;
- expected a different interpretation or conclusion;
- expected the analysis to confirm a particular coverage position;
- changes their mind after the analysis has been completed;
- no longer needs the analysis; or
- fails to download or retain the report after it has been made available.
FinePrintCheck provides automated informational analysis and does not guarantee that a report will reach a conclusion favorable to the user.
5. Technical failures and retries
If an analysis cannot be completed because of an eligible technical failure, FinePrintCheck may permit one or more retry attempts without requiring another payment.
A retry is part of the original purchase and does not constitute a new purchase or a second charge.
The availability and number of retry attempts may be limited for security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, or technical reasons.
6. Service cannot be delivered
If FinePrintCheck is unable to provide the purchased analysis because of a technical failure and the available recovery attempts have been exhausted, the user may contact FinePrintCheck to request review of the transaction.
If the purchased Service was not successfully delivered and no further reasonable recovery attempt is available, a refund may be issued as appropriate.
7. Invalid or unsupported documents
The Service is intended only for eligible U.S. health insurance policy documents.
FinePrintCheck performs technical validation before analysis, but the user remains responsible for selecting an appropriate document.
A document may be rejected if it does not satisfy applicable format, size, security, or technical requirements.
Where the Service permits the user to correct the problem or retry the analysis without an additional charge, the existence of the failed attempt does not by itself create a right to a refund.
8. Duplicate charges and billing errors
If you believe you were charged more than once for the same purchase or that a demonstrable billing error occurred, contact FinePrintCheck so the transaction can be investigated.
Verified duplicate charges or billing errors will be corrected as appropriate.
9. Unauthorized transactions
If you believe a payment was made without your authorization, contact FinePrintCheck and your payment provider promptly.
Unauthorized transaction claims will be handled in accordance with applicable law and applicable payment-network and payment provider requirements.
10. Refund method
Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method using the payment-processing infrastructure through which the original transaction was made.
The time required for a refund to appear may depend on Stripe, the card network, the user's financial institution, and the payment method used.
11. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute concerning a technical failure, duplicate charge, billing error, or failure to receive the purchased Service, users are encouraged to contact FinePrintCheck so the issue can be investigated.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any payment-dispute or chargeback right available under applicable law or applicable card-network rules.
12. Statutory rights
FinePrintCheck is operated from Sweden but is designed, offered, and marketed exclusively for the United States market and for U.S. health insurance policies.
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or waives any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, dispute, or other consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or waived under law applicable to a particular transaction.
Where mandatory applicable law conflicts with this Refund Policy, the mandatory law controls only to the extent of that conflict.
